James Ridgway has been an estimator/project coordinator with Samron Midwest Contracting Inc. since its inception in March of 2003.
Mr. Ridgway has been involved in the Southern Illinois construction industry for over 24 years in a variety of capacities. He gained considerable on-the-job training as a laborer for his father’s commercial contracting business, eventually working his way up to a working superintendent, managing statewide projects for several large telecom companies.
Mr. Ridgway received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi in 1989.
Prior to coming on board with the Fricke’s in 2001, Mr. Ridgway worked for a prominent Southern Illinois architectural firm. Some of his responsibilities included business development, human resources, purchasing and plan review.
Mr. Ridgway has been involved with most Samron projects, in some capacity, ranging from the estimation and bidding process to project management and close out. These projects include the Kinder Morgan Cora Dock expansion, Wal-Mart Super Centers and several other projects for Southern Illinois University.
